Red lobster near me directions12/13/2023 Just after 9pm with plates still busy and eating we received the bill. We knew the restaurant would be closing at 10pm. Whilst our friend waiting for his main course we asked for more bread that never came. We were offered food that wasn't ours, brought a soup when we already had and missed side salads that came with the mains. For his main we again had to ask the staff. My main course came out 15mins before one guests. Actually some food arrived before we had our drinks. It took over 20mins for the drinks for arrive, and we reminded staff 4 times. The waiter never returned and we had to wave someone down. We were offered water quickly and asked the waiter to come back for our drinks order. We were seated upstairs in a small private room- perhaps this was part of the problem. The crunchy combination of raw tuna cubes, mango and edamame beans was nicely stacked as a cake and went well with the crackly rice crackers. Probably the cheapest appetizer on the menu, the portion was much more than we expected. The best part was that we didn’t need to peel any of the shrimp ourselves □Ī whole avocado split in halves, stuffed with refreshing mayo salad filling and topped with shrimp and lobster meat, this is a healthier version of a lobster roll and dare we say probably more delicious too! The platter had an abundance of shrimp prepared in 3 different ways - fried to a crispy golden brown, scampied in a pool of garlic butter with tomato dices and placed on top of a creamy lobster pasta. The lobster was huge and fresh - we were super full afterwards! Instead of the plain steamed version, we opted for the one with rich cheese broccoli spaghetti for more flavor. The live Maine lobsters are one of their signatures, so we had to try it. We finally ordered 2 appetizers and 2 mains for a seafood feast. Spoiling customers with its extensive lobster and shrimp choices, we were surprised to see that there were even steak and chicken dishes listed on the menu. Since then, prices have gone up a bit, but it’s still great value for money, especially with the iconic, complimentary cheddar bay biscuits. MoreĪn American chain famous for its quality seafood, we visited last year after the opening hype had died down a little. (No hate to my server as a human because I’m sure this is down to lack of education by upper management). Red Lobster, please work on your communication and train your staff better OR remove the service charge. For a $600 bill (the food was OKAY at best) this was a huge disappointment and I won’t be returning. I understand that times are tough and most restaurants are short staffed but this was a new level of insanity. Our server did not check back with us to see if the food was okay and kept disappearing from his section to a point where three tables all had their hands waving in the air for five minuets trying to get some attention. As someone who works in this industry, I can honestly say that it is really not hard to train servers how to communicate with guests and give even decent service. I am a very reasonable person and I do not like to complain in restaurants but I honestly could not believe how shocking this experience was. It takes 15 minutes to plate salmon and rice? Not once was there an apology that it took so long or any explanation as to what happened. After 30 minutes I asked where it was and was told it was “plating”. However, my daughters food (salmon and rice) took 45 minutes to come out of the kitchen. Our drinks arrived after 15 minutes and 5 minutes later my lobster roll arrived. We ordered straight away as we were in a. On this particular occasion, I went for a quick lunch with my daughter. I have been to red lobster twice, one year apart, and both times I have been shocked by how poor the service is.
